Pubic Hair Removal Products
Here's a tip: A pubic hair removal product can be judged
by how much pain it causes, or on the basis of cost and effectiveness.
Some people do not remove their pubic hair. Other males
and females both choose to trim pubic hair with a product such as a beard
and mustache trimmer. Many use the pop up hair trimmer available on some
electric shavers. Trimming pubic hair with one of these products does not
result in complete removal of the pubic hair. It just, "tidies up", the
area.
On the other hand, people who use a trimmer as a pubic
hair removal product don't have to shave every day. They are also not
confronted by the itch of hair as it grows back in.
Skin in the pubic region is delicate and sensitive.
Depilatory creams or lotions are not recommended for this area. Chemicals in
these products can cause serious rashes, burns or skin irritation.
Although you could consider electrolysis or laser hair
removal products for pubic hair removal in the bikini line and, "bush",
area, it is not appropriate for use on the genitals themselves. Skin damage
is a possibility for the delicate genital skin. Both of these products also
are painful, expensive and require trained licensed professional operators.
Speaking of pain - There is one public hair removal
product you may want to investigate. Several manufacturers offer topical
anesthetic creams or lotions which you apply 30 to 60 minutes before using
products like electrolysis, laser or waxing.
Some people report less pain during these treatments if
they apply these products before proceeding.
The most popular part of the pubic area for removal of
unwanted hair is the bikini line. Males and females alike want to avoid
straggly pubic hairs sticking out from under bathing suits and short shorts.
Waxing is one popular product for removal of bikini line
pubic hair. To use a waxing product, you apply warm wax to an area and add a
strip of cloth.
In order for the wax to be able to grip the hair, the
hair needs to be at least 1/4 to 1/2 inches long. You must let it grow out.
You also need to make sure the hair is free of oils for the waxing product
to work properly. You should have dry pubic hair at the time of removal with
the waxing product.
Once the wax has cooled, you grip the cloth and yank back
against the growth, ripping the hair out by its roots. Ouch!
Did you remember to use the topical anesthetic product
mentioned earlier? You'll probably remember next time.
You may have to experiment until you find a position that
lets you reach certain private areas. The crack between the buttocks is
tricky and also the inner area at the top of the thighs.
Waxing is not a good product to use on the male penis or
scrotum.
The most common product for pubic hair removal is a
razor. Either a wet blade razor or an electric shaver will work. Standard
razors and electric shavers, however, are designed by their manufacturers to
shave the hair in men's beards or the female armpit or leg hair. They are
not designed for pubic hair removal.
The good news is that recently some new manufacturers
have emerged who are designing products especially for pubic hair removal.
It is definitely worth your while to do some research and find out more
about pubic hair removal products which are small, portable shavers designed
to be totally painless and safe.
